About Sharon Gerber
Six Degreez, Inc., was founded by Sharon Gerber and utilizes her long history of successful involvement in her community to make a difference within the Sacramento region. For sixteen years, Sharon worked for Wells Fargo in a variety of entrepreneurial positions. Initially a top ranking Store Manager in the Bay Area, Sharon moved to Fresno to create and manage Community Development efforts for the bank in Central and Coastal California. In 1996, Sharon relocated to Sacramento as Community Development Manager in both Northern California and New Mexico, establishing successful programs in each of those communities. Responsibilities included identifying and meeting credit needs of the Low-Moderate Income communities, providing grants to nonprofits and schools, coordinating volunteer efforts of team members and acting as a liaison between the bank and government/community leaders. From 2003-2004, Sharon worked for Wells Fargo’s Northern California Private Client Services Division as a Private Banker and Business Development Officer, providing customized financial solutions to High Net Worth families. Community involvement remains a high priority for Sharon, who currently serves on the board of KVIE and the Sacramento Hotel Corporation (The Sheraton Grand) and is a member of the Sacramento Downtown Rotary. Sharon has also served on several other boards, including: The Boardlink Advisory Council for the Nonprofit Resource Center (for whom she created and chaired the very successful “Look of Success” celebrity fashion show, which over 4 years generated $300,000 in profits), Families First (where she created and chaired their first Valentine’s Ball in 1998, raising $60,000), the Sacramento Urban League, Rural LISC, California Association of Local Economic Development (CALED), the Northern California Reinvestment Consortium (NCRC), Jewish Civic Action Network, Transitional Living & Community Support (for whom she chaired their annual Comedy Night, raising $100,000 in three years), Oakpark Renaissance Program, St. Hope’s Dinner Steering Committee, SMUD’s Business Advisory Council, the Financial Abuse Assistance Network and Congregation B’nai Israel. While President of NCRC, Sharon helped lead the effort to create the Sacramento Predevelopment Loan Fund (for which she raised $200,000) as well as EnterFund (a regional micro lending program for which she raised $500,000.) You can often find Sharon providing on-air talent for KVIE during pledge times, as well as emceeing local community events. Sharon is a graduate of U.C. Berkeley’s Haas School of Business
and lives in Landpark with her daughter, Rebekah. |
